Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DHMAS) - The mission of the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services is to improve the quality of life of the people of Connecticut by providing an integrated network of comprehensive, effective and efficient mental health and addiction services that foster self-sufficiency, dignity and respect.

Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling (CCPG) - The Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling is a private, not-for-profit organization affiliated with the National Council on Problem Gambling. The Council’s mission is to reduce the prevalence and impact of problem and disordered gambling on individuals, their families, and society.

National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) - The Mission of the National Council on Problem Gambling is to increase public awareness of disordered gambling, ensure the widespread availability of treatment for problem gamblers and their families, and to encourage research and programs for prevention and education.

The World Lottery Association Code of Conduct (WLA) - The World Lottery Association Code of Conduct concerning the use of electronic commerce for the distribution of gaming services is available in English.

The International Centre for Youth Gambling Problems and High-Risk Behaviours at McGill University has been at the forefront of leading-edge research aimed at identifying and understanding the critical factors related to youth gambling issues. In addition to its many research endeavors, the Centre also provides treatment for youth experiencing gambling problems.

GAM-ANON® International Service Office, Inc. is a website that provides information for the general public and professional community about problem (compulsive) gambling.

"Is Gambling a Problem" Pocket Card - Informational booklets are available at gambling establishments, offices maintained by the Dept. of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the CT Council on Problem Gambling. GameSense "Tips For Keeping Gambling Safe & Fun" pocket cards are also available at all CT Lottery Retailers.

Youth Media Project

The Gambling Awareness Youth Media Project is a partnership between Capitol Region Education Council (CREC), CT Council on Problem Gambling (CCPG) and DMHAS Problem Gambling Services (PGS), to work with youth across the state to focus on gambling prevention. Through this partnership, we are able to provide learning experiences on the value of prevention, raise awareness of the warning signs of problem gambling and assist youth and their adult advisors develop, produce and distribute gambling awareness messages.
