22-Year-Old Grad Receives “Token Gift” Worth $2,000 Every Month for the Rest of Her LifeImagine. You've been given a $1 scratch ticket as a small token of congratulations for graduating college, only to discover you've won a prize worth $2,000 a month, every month, for the rest of your life. Earlier this week, 22-year-old Anissa Dellaripa of South Windsor was just that kind of lucky.
“My dad often buys me scratch tickets for fun,” Dellaripa told Lottery officials. “He gave me this one and said, ‘Here, scratch it.’ The ticket cost only a dollar; he didn’t really think anything of it. I went to my room, scratched the ticket, and couldn’t believe it when I saw the ‘WIN FOR LIFE’ prize [symbol]. I thought he gave me a fake ticket as a joke, but I really won!”
Indeed she did. Taking the “For Life” annuity payment option versus the game’s lump sum prize valued at $400,000, was an easy choice for Dellaripa. “It’s a lot of money for me because I’m so young. I just graduated in June with an Associate’s Degree. This [prize] will help me to go back to school for my Bachelor’s Degree. It’s a gift my father can leave me with for the rest of my life.”
Dellaripa’s top prize winning ticket was purchased at Alltown Manchester located at 1527 Pleasant Valley Road in Manchester. For selling the ticket, Alltown Manchester will receive a $6,000 bonus from the CT Lottery.
The winning names, stories and photos on this website are just a small number of the thousands who claim prizes. The fact is, people win every day with the CT Lottery! Below is a list of recently claimed prizes of $10,000 or more. Please Note: When a winning scratch ticket is validated through a Lottery Retailer's terminal, the remaining number of unclaimed prizes for that prize level is automatically updated reflecting one less prize. Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown.
