The Atlantis Citgo at 960 Meriden-Waterbury Tpke in Plantsville recently sold the last top prize-winning scratch ticket for the CT Lottery’s “$2,000,000 MEGA MULTIPLIER” game.
If Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike sounds familiar, it should.
Less than two minutes away, Gulf Convenience Mart on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Cheshire sold a $4,000,000 top prize-winning “$4,000,000 Fortune” scratch ticket in January. Gulf Convenience Mart received a $40,000 retailer bonus for selling that winning ticket.
Now, another location just down the road along Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike can claim the title of being a Connecticut millionaire maker.
For selling the winning “$2,000,000 MEGA MULTIPLIER” ticket, Atlantis Citgo will receive a $20,000 bonus — one of the many benefits of being a CT Lottery retail partner.
The Southington couple who claimed the $2 million top prize were still in disbelief when they visited CT Lottery headquarters to take the lump sum payout.
“We couldn’t believe it…and we still cannot believe it,” the winners said.
The winners have been fans of CT Lottery games for “quite some time,” and say even longtime players know moments like this are hard to prepare for. The couple plans to use their prize to purchase their dream home.
The “$2,000,000 MEGA MULTIPLIER” game has now ended. All winning tickets, including top prizes, for this game must be validated no later than 11/25/2026.
